Nancy Harris Pearce is an attorney with more than 20 years of experience. She has been a member of the Firm since 1985. Nancy practices in the areas of labor, employment and employee benefits. Her practice focuses on employment litigation, collective bargaining, and employee benefit plan litigation and review.
She has extensive experience in counseling Michigan employers in the area of employment law, including resolution of disputes involving discrimination (including sex, disability, race, age and sexual orientation) defamation, breach of contract and unpaid wages. She also represents employee benefit plans, labor organizations and individuals in a broad range of employment and employee benefits matters. In her employment and employee benefits practice, Nancy complements her litigation experience with other contributions. She has presented training seminars on employment discrimination and harassment. She also has counseled employers on a variety of matters such as employee discipline and termination, misconduct investigations, drafting and revising handbooks and wage and hour issues.
Nancy was admitted to the practice of law in Michigan in 1985. She received her Juris Doctor (with honors) from the Indiana University School of law. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (Member Labor and Employment Section) and is also a member of the American Bar Association and International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans
