Marc G. Whitefield is one of the founding members of the Firm with more than 35 years of labor-management relations law experience.
His practice focuses on all aspects of labor and employment law, in which he represents employers across the country in a variety of industries. He negotiates collective bargaining agreements and follows up on their administration. As part of his follow-up on contract administration, he has arbitrated, mediated, and facilitated the resolution of hundreds of workplace disputes. His practice also includes the defense of all types of employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, FLSA, FMLA, and wrongful discharge claims before administrative agencies and courts. He counsels employers in connection with all phases of union organizing campaigns, collective bargaining agreements and regularly represents clients in the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) proceedings. He has had extensive experience in problem avoidance counseling, strategic planning, and drafting and implementing effective policies, employee manuals and handbooks.
Marc is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A.) and Wayne State University (J.D.) where he was a member of the Wayne Law Review.
