Daniel G. LeVan is an attorney with more than 25 years of experience. He has been associated with the the Firm since 2000, and a shareholder since 2004.
His practice is focused in the areas of employment law, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), multi-employer employee benefit fund litigation and compliance issues, labor/union litigation, and the representation and counseling of businesses and individuals in a broad range of commercial and employment matters (including complex federal court litigation and appeals, discrimination and civil rights claims, and contract review and drafting).
Dan graduated number one in his class from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1993. While attending law school, Dan was an editor for the University of Detroit Law Review and worked as an intern for the Honorable Paul V. Gadola, United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. Dan received the Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence (1992, 1993) and American Jurisprudence Awards in Evidence and Secured Transactions. Dan also was a member of the Justice Frank Murphy Honor Society. Dan authored Landlord Liability for Lead Poisoning of Tenant Children Caused by Defects in the Premises, 70 U. Det. L. Rev. 429 (1993). Dan obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1989.
Dan is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
